Q: What is transition?
A: A way to show the logical connection between ideas.

Q: What is plagiarism?
A: Plagiarism means using another person’s words or ideas without citing that person.

Q: What is paraphrasing?
A: Paraphrasing means presenting the written information of another by using the keywords of the original but restating the other ideas in your own words.

Q: When paraphrasing, you need to do what?
A: 1. Change most words by using synonyms.
2. Use your own sentences.
3. Keep the same keywords of the original text.

Q: What is the difference between summary and paraphrasing?
A: Summaries are always much shorter than the original text; the paraphrasing is as long as the original text.

Q: What is summary?
A: Summarizing is retelling something in fewer words.

Q: When writing a summary, you need to notice what?
A: 1. The summary is much shorter than the original text and the paraphrasing.
2. It states only the main ideas of original.
3. Some keywords are used.
4. Synonyms are used for words that are not key terms.
5. An in-text citation is given at the end of the summarized information.
